LUTHER AMOS JOHNSON, SR., age 90 of Carlisle, Ohio passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at Kettering Medical Center in Franklin. Luther was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on February 16, 1935, to the late George and Mary (Turner) Johnson. He retired from General Electric in Erie, Pennsylvania, in 1997 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Rose Chapel Church, and he was a trustee of the church for many years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Bertha Deaton, Callie Johnson and Marie Johnson; brothers, Astor, Roy, Robert, Eulibee, Sigel and Roscoe Johnson; and son, Luther Johnson, Jr.

Luther is survived by his wife of thirty years, Sandra (Behan), his children Brenda Danaei, Linda Wingard, Donna England (Dave) and Scott Holliday; grandchildren Jessica Colon (Pedro), Jamie Schmidt (Cameron), Jason Wingard, Krystal Winkleman (Jereme), Drew England (Rachel), Morgan Butler (Derrick); and 13 great-grandchildren.
