JAMES ANTHONY SURBER, 46, son of the late James Vincent Surber and Sharon Gail Maggard Surber, was born at Harlan, Kentucky, on January 5, 1979. He entered eternal life January 10, 2025.

James was a member of Little Cowan Church. He was a 7th generation coal miner. He loved hunting and fishing, riding his 4-wheeler, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Amber Day Surber; daughters, Kammy (Jacob), Kynslee, and Lillee Hall; sister, Regina Surber Smith (Allen); in-laws, David and Paula Day; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Surber, and a great nephew, Blaze Smith.
