HEATHER NICOLE MONZEL HAWKINS HAYES, 41, was born on October 25, 1983 to Roger and Sherry Hawkins. She departed this life April 15, 2025, after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Mt. Mitchell Church. She graduated from Cherokee High School and ETSU.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Hawkins; grandparents, Elder Bobby Williams, Bill Hawkins, and Sue Lawson; and special cousins, Ben Williams and Jason Christian.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jon Hayes; mother, Sherry Hawkins; brother, Corey Hawkins (Jamie); niece and nephew, Cameron and Erin Hawkins; and grandmother, Juanita Williams. Her struggles are past and she is at rest with her Lord.
