CARL EDWARD ALVIS was born June 1, 1944 and entered into rest November 11, 2024. He served as a paramedic and registered nurse to the communities of Hamblen and Hawkins County for 40 years. Ed was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of The Scottish Rite.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Grace Alvis; brothers, Randall Alvis, Gene Alvis, Pete Alvis; and sisters, Brenda Burton and Linda Borghetti.

He is survived by his sons, Neal Alvis and Troy Alvis (Stacey); grandchildren, Allie Alvis Eidson (Dylan), Logan Alvis, Briana Alvis, Bailee Alvis; great-granddaughter, Eloise Eidson; brothers, Danny Alvis, Elbert “Big” Alvis (Anita), Dennis Alvis (Terri); sisters, Jeraleen “Sis” Christian (Jack), Debbie Dover (Gary); several nieces, nephews, and his wonderful work family. He will be greatly missed.
