BETTY JO HENSLEY SAMPSON, 90, was born March 17, 1935 and departed this life April 6, 2025. She was saved at a young age and was a member of Mt. Mitchell Church. Betty enjoyed listening to gospel music and sage with several gospel groups when she was younger.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Nina Henry Simpson; her first husband, Robert Hensley; second husband Buddy Sampson; and brothers, Garfield Simpson and Clifford Simpson.

Betty is survived by her sisters, Juanita Williams, Patsy Dykes, Peggy Harrold, and Ruth Lemmons, and several nieces and nephews.

She is now resting peacefully.
